Certains des associés de Mathias Echène se trouvent justement à Hong Kong. Ils le poursuivent pour escroquerie et où la justice l’a condamné à leur verser près de 3 millions d’euros d’indemnités. Sa famille, son avocate, mais aussi l'ensemble de la diplomatie française ont été plutôt surpris par cette extradition surprise.
